I went to Barnes and Nobles today. I went with some basic knowledge on the magazine conventions and went with an intention to find magazines that break the rules or conventions. I found a couple of magazines that followed most conventions. I found that ALL magazines I saw had a picture on the front cover of someone engaging with the person reading the magazine, or looking at them. This follows the convention and is clearly something that a lot of people won't challenge.
